Job Description:

My client is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to lead the company quality strategy and continuous improvement programme across their precision engineering operation. This is a quality-led leadership role, responsible for ensuring their products, processes and systems consistently meet the highest standards expected by customers across a range of different sectors.

My client is a market leading British manufacturer, that have been in the area closing in on 100 years. Now part of a global structure, they are experts in the design, prototyping & manufacture of high-quality products, that they supply to customers globally.

Description

  • Leading and developing the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001/IATF16949 requirements.
  • Acting as the customer quality champion, managing customer audits, complaints and quality performance metrics.
  • Driving root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventative actions across the business.
  • Leading internal and external audit programmes.
  • Developing quality KPIs and reporting performance to the Managing Director
  • Supporting new product introduction and APQP activities.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve process capability and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Managing supplier quality performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Promoting a culture of quality ownership across all departments.
  • Providing oversight of site HSE systems to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Profile

You will be a strong senior leader, ideally a Quality/Technical bias with manufacturing experience, along with:

  • Proven Quality Management experience within manufacturing, engineering or automotive environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management principles.
  • Experience leading customer audits and dealing directly with OEM or Tier 1 customers.
  • A track record of driving continuous improvement and reducing non-conformance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using methodologies such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA and SPC.
  • Experience managing quality systems and leading audit programmes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 would be advantageous
  • Strong HSE knowledge/experience would be advantageous
