The Role
- Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that develop mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Inspire students to develop confidence and curiosity in mathematics
- Plan lessons that effectively support, challenge and stretch learners of all abilities
- Monitor student progress carefully and provide clear and constructive feedback
- Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations and assessments
- Contribute to the continued development of the Mathematics curriculum and departmental resources
- Support enrichment opportunities such as Maths clubs, competitions or STEM activities
- Play a full role in the pastoral life of the school, including form tutoring where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective teaching practice
- Is able to inspire enthusiasm and confidence in mathematics
- Maintains high expectations for both academic achievement and behaviour
- Is reflective and committed to ongoing professional development
- Works positively as part of a collaborative and supportive teaching team
