Job Summary

Paediatric Clinical Nurse SpecialistAlbrighton, West MidlandsUp to £43,000 plus bonusFull time, Monday to Friday with no nights, weekends or on-call responsibilities

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist to support children with complex care needs across the West Midlands. This role offers a strong work life balance with office and community-based work.

Skills

  • Airway management including tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation management
  • Enteral feeding (PEG/JEJ/NG)
  • Experience with neurological or spinal conditions is beneficial

Requirements

  • NMC Pin with at least 2 years post qualification nursing experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong clinical judgement
  • Flexibility to support regional packages

Main Duties of the Job

  • Manage complex caseloads including paediatric packages
  • Develop and review care plans
  • Train and assess care staff
  • Ensure clinical quality and compliance
  • Review MAR charts and care documentation
  • Build strong relationships with families and MDTs

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote the Apollo Home Healthcare brand to all prospective clients and healthcare professionals, undertake assessment of new referrals and reviews of current service user care plans and assist in the recruitment and interviewing of potential new staff.
  • Manage appraisal and supervision of staff.
  • Provide person centred nursing care and support to service users, their families and healthcare assistants.
  • Participate as part of a team using a person‑centred approach, assess, plan, implement and evaluate care delivered.
  • Maintain and oversee the maintenance of appropriate associated service user records.

Qualifications

  • NMC Pin with at least 2 years post qualification paediatric nursing experience
  • Full UK driving licence
