HGV Drivers (Category: ‘CE’)
Our Ref: HGV/CE/07/26/ Permanent/ Full Time
Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week
(shifts will be discussed at interview)
Start time: 05.30 am
Base Location: Mallusk, Belfast, Portadown, Garvagh or Maydown
Due to our continual growth, we are looking for HGV Drivers (Category CE) to join our busy Transport division across our depots.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills that support the RiverRidge Brand
- Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
- Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Office (both electronically and verbally)
- Following all regulations relating to driver’s hours and safe operation of heavy goods vehicles
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
Essential Criteria
- Must hold a valid HGV licence ‘CE’, Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Minimum of 1 year’s HGV (Class CE) driving experience
- Full UK Driving Licence (Max 6 penalty points)
- Good Geographical knowledge of NI
- Good Knowledge of driver’s hours, rules and regulations
- Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques & undertake manual work
- Flexible approach to working hours including weekday, weekends & Bank holidays will be required
- Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent customer service skills
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience working in the waste industry

- Competitive Hourly Rate – Competitive Hourly Rate – £16.22ph
- Overtime rate of Time and a Half for hours worked over 44 hours Monday to Friday
