We are working with a well-established organisation operating within the food supply chain sector. With a strong focus on quality, operational excellence and customer service, the business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations, drive performance and support continued growth.
This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where quality, accuracy and service are essential. You will play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations while developing a high-performing team and driving continuous improvement.
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership of warehouse performance, ensuring operational targets, customer requirements and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading all daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient operation across multiple functions.
- Managing and supporting warehouse supervisors to deliver performance targets.
- Driving warehouse KPIs including productivity, order accuracy, service levels and operational efficiency.
- Ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and delivered in line with agreed schedules.
- Monitoring team performance, providing coaching and addressing challenges proactively.
- Creating a positive working environment built on accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Developing and maintaining operational procedures, SOPs and safe working practices.
- Managing training requirements, onboarding new team members and maintaining training standards.
- Working closely with Quality, Health & Safety and wider operational teams to maintain compliance.
- Supporting process improvements that enhance efficiency, service delivery and customer experience.
About You
You will be an experienced warehouse or logistics professional with a strong background in managing teams within a fast-paced operational environment. Experience within food distribution, FMCG, chilled/frozen logistics or hospitality supply chains would be highly advantageous.
You will demonstrate:
- Proven experience leading warehouse teams.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock accuracy and order fulfilment.
- Experience managing performance through KPIs and operational targets.
- A strong focus on food safety, quality and compliance.
- Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Confidence making decisions, solving problems and improving processes.
- The ability to work effectively in a busy, customer-focused environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
