Teaching Assistant- Bebington, Wirral

We are recruiting Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support students in local secondary high schools (KS3 & KS4) in Bebington (CH62 & CH63, Wirral) starting in September.

Requirements

• Prior Experience: Experience working with children aged 11-16 as a Support Worker, TA, tutor, youth worker, or in a similar setting.
• Passion: Desire to guide and mentor secondary school students.
• Skills: Strong communication, active listening, and classroom management skills.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Duties

• Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group academic support to KS3 & KS4 students.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to keep lessons structured, focused, and on track.
• Encourage positive behaviour, attendance, and active participation in class.
• Assist students with revision, coursework, and developing study habits.
• Adapt learning materials and classroom resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitor progress and give feedback to classroom teachers.
