SERVICE VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Basic Salary: Up to £35,000 Depending on ExperienceOTE: £38,000+Location: Bury St EdmundsHours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm | 1 in 4 Saturday Mornings Paid at 1.5x Overtime Rate

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work requirements
• Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, steering and drivetrain components
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and right first time
• Accurately complete job cards, service records and warranty documentation
• Carry out road tests and quality control checks following repairs
• Maintain high levels of workshop productivity and efficiency

Skills & Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair preferred
• Level 2 qualification will be considered for candidates with relevant workshop experience
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair experience
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Own tools and toolbox
• Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)

Desirable

• MOT Tester Licence
• Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair & Replacement
• Previous Main Dealer experience
• Experience working with modern diagnostic equipment
