The Opportunity
We are significantly expanding our on-demand interpreting team and have a high volume of calls for UK-based speakers of Arabic, French, and Farsi. We are looking for professional and responsive interpreters who can be available to take immediate, un-booked telephone assignments.
This is a dynamic and flexible role ideal for linguists who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can make themselves available to answer calls as they come in.
What You Will Do:
- Answer live, on-demand telephone calls to provide immediate interpreting between service users and clients.
- Provide rapid, accurate, and professional interpreting, often in urgent situations.
- Log in to our system during your stated hours of availability to signal you are ready to receive calls.
- Handle a wide variety of scenarios and subjects with professionalism and impartiality.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Fluency in English and one of the following: Arabic, French, or Farsi.
- Experience in on-demand telephone interpreting is highly advantageous. A professional interpreting qualification is a plus.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- A responsive and flexible attitude with the ability to be available for calls, sometimes on short notice.
- Access to a reliable phone line and a quiet, confidential environment.
- Eligibility to work as a self-employed professional in the UK.
- UK residency.
