A bit about the role
We are looking for an experiencedFinance Analyst and Business Partnerto work across multiple workstreams and supportsenior leaders across the wider businessmakedata-driven decision making to maximise returns to Good Causes.
Whatyou’llbe doing
- To build strong relationships acrossmain stakeholder groups,in particularwithinFinanceandRegulatoryteams as well asbusiness partner with thewiderFinancefunctionbudget holders,providing insightfulanalysis and presentations to effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Supportkey financial processes including month end close,monthlyand quarterlyreporting, the annual budgetingprocessand quarterly forecasts.
- Subject matter expert and business partner for the finance function,maintaininga rolling forecastanddetailed understanding of cost drivers,risksand opportunities
- Delivery of key outputs including quarterly Performance Standards Reporting for the Gambling Commission,monthly management reporting for key metrics such as Good Causesand monthly budget holder and director packs
- Support Budgeting and Forecasting processes with detailed analysis and presentations tofacilitatebusiness decisions.
- Collaborate closely with the entire Commercial Finance and wider Finance function leaning into relevant teamstomost effectively drive projects forward
- Assistwith ad-hoc queries
What experiencewe’relooking for
- Delivery of high-quality outputs to deadline, with analysis that supports confident decision-making and adds clear value to strategic and regulatory priorities.
Key Skills andExperience:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Highly numerate with the ability to analyse, model and interpret data, including large data sets.
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to articulate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Commercial awareness and ability to apply this to decision making and recommendations
- Experience with SAPand SACpreferred.
- Experience in a similar Commercial Finance role preferred.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Lookups, Pivots, Data Visualisation) and data manipulation
- Experience with BI tools an advantage
- Self-starter with a keen attention to detail and independent thinkingAbility to work collaboratively, working constructively with colleagues to solve problems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to distil complexity, present clear recommendations andmaintainhigh standardsin fast-paced environments.
- Credibility and presence to work effectively with senior leaders, challenge constructively whereappropriate, and influence outcomes through insight-led analysis.
- Proactive and driven, with the confidence to highlight risks and opportunities early, work independently at pace, and tailor messaging upwards to senior line management where needed.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, using judgement to structure problems, define a practical path forward and keep stakeholders aligned as priorities evolve.
