Connect2Dorset is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join a busy and supportive Adult Social Care team in Dorchester. Hybrid working is offered 2 days in the office plus community based visits
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with experience of undertaking Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries, managing complex caseloads and working collaboratively with individuals, families, providers and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries in line with the Care Act * Manage a varied Adult Social Care caseload * Conduct community-based visits to individuals, carers and care providers * Complete assessments, risk assessments and safeguarding documentation * Work collaboratively with health professionals, providers and partner agencies * Promote independence, wellbeing and person-centred outcomes * Maintain accurate and timely case records
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent) * Registered with Social Work England * Previous experience undertaking Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries is essential * Experience within Adult Social Care * Strong assessment, safeguarding and case management skills * Ability to travel across the community to undertake visits
About you
You must hold a recognised Social Work qualification (degree/diploma) and be registered with Social Work England.
Preferably we are looking for a social worker with experience of working within the safeguarding sector
