Support Worker (Female Only) – Supported Living Services, Belfast

Staffline Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading disability support organisation for a Female Support Worker to join their Supported Living Services team in South Belfast.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support adults with brain injury, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, sensory impairments, and neurological conditions to live independent and fulfilling lives within their local community.

Pay Rate

£13.45 per hour

Hours Available

  • Full-Time: 35 hours per week
  • Part-Time: 20 hours per week
  • Permanent positions available

Flexibility is required, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and unsociable hours on a rotational basis.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence and achieve personal goals. You will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs while promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting service users with daily living activities
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Encouraging independence and community participation
  • Supporting leisure, social and life skills development
  • Assisting with household management tasks
  • Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and care documentation
  • Supporting service users to achieve personal goals
  • Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated support team
  • Promoting safeguarding, health & safety, and best practice standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 6 months’ caring experience (paid or personal caring responsibilities)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine interest in supporting people within a care environment
  • Awareness of the needs of individuals with disabilities and additional support needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours

Additional Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check
  • NISCC registered or willing to register within 6 months of starting employment
