About the role
This role is term time, which means that the gross annual salary advertised will be reduced proportionately based on the number of weeks worked during the academic year. Term time employees are contracted to work 38 weeks per year.
Please note that the full time equivalent for this position is 37 hours, so roles advertised with contracted hours less than 37 will be classed as part time. The gross annual salary advertised will be reduced based on the part time hours.

As a Senior Education Support Officer within the Additional Support Team at St. Ninian’s High School, you’ll play a key role in supporting students with a wide range of additional needs to engage with learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes. Working closely with teachers, the SENCo, parents and external professionals, you’ll deliver and adapt targeted intervention programmes, provide pastoral and behavioural support, and help students develop the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
This is a rewarding and varied role where you’ll build positive relationships with students, act as a trusted role model and help create an inclusive environment where every young person can thrive. You’ll monitor and evaluate progress, contribute to individual support plans, support students through emotional, behavioural and academic challenges, and work alongside colleagues to remove barriers to learning. You’ll also play an important part in promoting attendance, wellbeing, positive behaviour and successful transitions, helping students develop the confidence, aspirations and resilience needed for future success.
