Job Description:
Are you a highly motivated occupational therapist with experience working in mental health, ready for your next challenge and keen to work and live in the beautiful region of Dumfries and Galloway?
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist occupational therapy input to adults in community and inpatient mental health services across Dumfries and Galloway.
- Conduct evidence‑based assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions as a key member of the multi‑disciplinary community mental health team.
- Plan and deliver group activities, both virtually and face‑to‑face, in collaboration with allied health professionals.
- Participate in regular supervision, pursue learning and development opportunities, and contribute to service improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Registered occupational therapist with the HCPC and a degree‑level qualification.
- Experience working within mental health services (desired for Band 6).
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Evidence of experience or potential for development into Band 6, where applicable.
Location
Based within the Wigtownshire Community Mental Health Team in Dumfries and Galloway, working across the region.
