We are looking for a Consultant Pathologist based at University Hospital Crosshouse. This post is permanent.
- Post 1: 40 hours per week.
- Post 2: 40 hours per week.
- Post 3: 40 hours per week.
- Post 4: 24 hours per week.
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Contribution to a consultant‑led histopathology service.
- Participation in multi‑disciplinary team meetings.
- Ensuring the service continues to meet UKAS standards.
- Taking part in the adult autopsy service for the local procurator fiscal.
Qualifications and Experience
Our service is innovative and forward‑thinking, having implemented digital pathology in routine clinical practice since 2020. The post is suitable for consultants who are enthusiastic and looking for a stimulating and challenging career. Consultants in Ayrshire and Arran are encouraged and supported to develop their skills and services, as well as to lead organizational development and improvement. Staff wellbeing is a priority, and a safe, caring and respectful culture is maintained.
