Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Altrincham that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during a key stage of their learning while working alongside a dedicated and experienced team of educators.
The Role
As a Year 5 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teaching and learning within a vibrant Year 5 classroom
- Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups
- Help children build confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
- Support pupils with SEND, EAL, and additional learning needs
- Assist the class teacher in maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment
- Contribute to classroom preparation, organisation, and behaviour management strategies
- Encourage pupils to achieve their academic and personal goals
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school setting
Is passionate about education and supporting young learners
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Is proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic about making a positive impact
Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
