Maths Teacher – Sheffield

About the role

We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a well-established, high-performing secondary school in Sheffield from September 2026. This role will initially run until Easter 2027, with a potential to be the full academic year. The school is part of a forward-thinking and well-supported multi-academy trust and is known for its welcoming community ethos, high expectations and strong commitment to professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Track pupil progress through regular assessment and implement targeted interventions where needed
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-structured learning environment that supports all learners
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Mathematics curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives and enrichment activities
• Take part in wider school responsibilities and uphold the school’s values and expectations

Pre-requisites

• A recognised teaching qualification such as QTS (or an equivalent international qualification)
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of effective mathematics pedagogy
• Two relevant references from educational settings
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
