Job Title: Clinical Nursing Manager
Location: Woodward Veterinary Practice, Ashby-de-la-Zouch
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days; no OOH; Saturdays on rota basis with time in lieu.
Salary: From £35,000 per annum
About the Role
We’re looking for a Clinical Nursing manager to join our team at Woodward Veterinary practice and would love to hear from you. We are recruiting for an RVN with 5 years post qualification experience and leadership experience. We seek an excellent communicator that is highly organised and is comfortable working with autonomy in our busy practice. The clinical nursing manager role is key to the business ability to provide a high level of clinical standards ensuring patients are managed as effectively as possible from a nursing perspective to support further growth of the practice. Working enthusiastically with the leadership team, you will demonstrate an excellent work protocol in all nursing duties while taking overall responsibility for a specific area of the practice. The clinical nursing manager would organise and oversee patient flow on a day to day basis to ensure the most effective and efficient approach to the workload. Identifying and improving the efficiency of the patient pathway from admission through to discharge while ensuring that practice policies and group policies are adhered to support the provision of outstanding patient and client care.
Roles and responsibilities
- Nurse Rotas and Nurse Holiday bookings
- Nurse team meetings
- Attending PBR with PM & Lead vet
- Taking responsibility along with the PM and Lead vet for Practice Standards for whole practice
- Nursing team PDR’s
Qualifications and experience
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with 5+ years post‑qualification experience
- Proven leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organised and self‑directed
- Ability to work autonomously in a busy practice

Other information
Admin time is allocated within the working week to allow all admin tasks to be completed in work time alongside full clinical duties.
