About the RoleTalent Curve is recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for a leading, progressive construction company delivering major commercial, residential, and civil engineering projects across Northern Ireland. This is a senior position requiring an influential professional to lead, maintain, and continuously improve safety culture on-site and at head office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee, review, and update the companys Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and site audits across regional projects.
  • Lead accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland (HSENI) and external auditors.
  • Provide continuous mentoring and clear safety briefings to site management teams and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent construction-specific health and safety qualification.
  • GradIOSH status (Chartered CMIOSH status is highly desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing health and safety within a principal contractor framework.
  • In-depth knowledge of current UK and Northern Ireland health and safety legislation (e.g., CDM Regulations NI).
  • Valid CSR (Construction Skills Register) card or equivalent safety passport and a full UK driving licence.
