Senior/Chief Cardiac Physiologist – CRM

Cardiac Investigations in Kettering General Hospital is seeking an experienced band 6 or accredited band 7 Cardiac Physiologist to join the young and dynamic invasive team.

Kettering General Hospital has 3 cath labs, a newly refurbished Cardiac Investigations department and a proactive approach in Physiologist led services with is supported by 14 Consultant Cardiologists.
Main duties of the role will include all aspects of cath Lab, including being part of the PPCI on call rota. You will be expected to independently implant and follow-up brady and tachy devices (dependent on experience and accreditation).
We are a dynamic and inter-professional Cardiology team delivering a wide range of services to the local community. Our philosophy is to strive to deliver excellent patient focused care in line with NICE guidelines, National Service Frameworks and evidence based practice
Main duties of the job
As a senior member of the Cardiac Rhythm Management team daily duties will involve the undertaking of cardiac device follow up and implantation for both elective and inpatient services.
Follow up is undertaken in the form of clinics, remote monitoring, out reach clinics and domiciliary visits.
Providing physiologist support for cardiac angiography and a range of PCI procedures including PPCI.
Duties will also include training of students, overseeing of junior staff members, control of stock rotation and management of equipment

Skills
- Educated to BSc Hons degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
- CRM Accreditation or working evidence of towards it
- Evidence of invasive cardiology experience
- Previous practical experience in a broad range of basic and advanced Cardiac investigations.
- Experience in brady implants and follow up
- At least 2 years post graduate experience in invasive cardiology
- Previous experience in the NHS
- Staff management and team working skills
- Able to organise own workload and that of other staff within specialised area
