Job title: Network & Telecoms Analyst

Salary Range: £46,206 – £62,451 per annum

Employment type: Permanent – Full time

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and maintaining network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, firewalls)
  • Monitoring network performance and proactively resolving issues
  • Diagnosing and fixing network faults and incidents
  • Assisting with upgrades, migrations and network improvement projects
  • Supporting network security controls and responding to vulnerabilities
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation and network diagrams
  • Working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with enterprise network technologies (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, firewalls, VPNs)
  • Understanding of network monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practice
  • Experience with network hardware such as switches, routers and wireless solutions
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non‑technical colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a live service environment
  • Experience working in a public sector or complex multi‑site organisation
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid networking (e.g. Azure networking)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Aruba, Fortinet, SolarWinds or similar
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Voice, SIP, SBCs, Direct Routing and call flow fundamentals
