Test Analyst FTC (7 months)

Overview

Superdrug Head Office is hiring a Systems Test Analyst for the R10 EPOS Transformation Programme. The role is located in East Croydon, hybrid with two days working from home and three days in the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Design & Preparation: Analyse requirements, design test scenarios and scripts, ensure traceability, and prepare test packs for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Test Execution: Execute tests across SIT, support UAT, record results, retest fixes, and highlight blockers and data issues.
• Validate End‑to‑End Retail Journeys: Sales, returns, pricing, promotions, supplier‑funded promotions, gift cards, payments, and colleague processes.
• Promotions & Supplier Funding Testing: Build scenarios for multi‑buy, mix & match, threshold offers, stacking rules; verify correct application and investigate discrepancies.
• Data & Environment Support: Identify and prepare test data, verify environment readiness, raise configuration issues.
• Defect & Quality Management: Log defects with evidence, analyse issues, retest, and escalated high‑impact bugs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting: Coordinate with Test Manager, Programme Manager, Business Analysts, developers, and SMEs; provide status updates and maintain documentation.
• Customer Focus: Build stakeholder relationships, keep customer experience central, clarify unclear requirements, and share knowledge.

• Internal – Test Manager, Programme Manager, IT Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Solution Architects, Store Operations, Retail Operations, Commercial, Trading, Finance, PMO.
• External – AS Watson Group IT teams involved in EPOS, middleware, pricing, promotion, payment, gift card, and finance.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience as a Test Analyst, QA Analyst or similar role.
• Strong experience writing and executing test cases, recording evidence.
• Experience using JIRA or equivalent defect management tools.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Clear communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience testing retail, EPOS, transactional or e‑commerce systems.
• Experience with pricing, promotions, discounts or transaction calculations.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing in complex environments.
• Experience with multi‑buy, mix & match, threshold promotions, exclusions, stacking rules.
• Understanding of supplier funding, rebates, retros, and financial processes linked to promotions.
• Experience testing payment, voucher, coupon, gift card or loyalty systems.
• Exposure to NCR, Oracle Retail or similar platforms.
• Experience with store technology rollouts.
• Ability to use AI for repetitive tasks while applying human judgement.
