Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee and manage the organisation’s financial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant regulations, and the effective management of financial resources. Responsibilities



  • Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

  • Utilise accounting software such as Xero, and other relevant programmes to maintain precise financial records.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.

  • Collaborate with external Accountants and liaise with regulatory authorities as necessary.

  • Monitor cash flow and optimise financial performance through effective management of resources.

  • Implement internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and prevent fraud or errors.

  • Lead the finance team in maintaining accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations.

  • Analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making processes.


Requirements



  • Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry sector.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, and other relevant programmes.

  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and overall financial operations.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed financial reports and analyse complex data sets.

  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are preferred.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in all work performed.
