Innovation Lawyer – Financial Services Group – International Law Firm – London

We are working with a leading international law firm seeking a lawyer with a corporate or finance background to join its Innovation & Change team, supporting the firm’s Financial Services Group.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fee-earning lawyer looking to move into legal innovation and help develop technology-backed legal services for major clients. Previous innovation experience is welcome but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technology-enabled legal services and client solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve legal processes through automation, AI and process redesign.
  • Work closely with clients, lawyers, technologists and innovation specialists to scope, test and deliver new solutions.
  • Support AI-enabled projects involving due diligence, document review and workflow transformation.
  • Help drive the adoption of legal technology and new ways of working.
  • Contribute to client pitches and proposals involving innovative service offerings.
  • Build strong relationships with partners, lawyers and other stakeholders across the Financial Services Group.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with 2-8 years fee-earning background in corporate or finance.
  • Genuine interest in legal technology, AI, automation and alternative approaches to legal service delivery.
  • Previous innovation or legal technology experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Commercial, collaborative and comfortable working across legal and technology teams.
  • Able to identify inefficiencies and translate them into practical solutions.
