RP250572 – Senior Healthcare Support Worker

The Stroke Ward at Dr Grays Hospital, is an 8-bedded Integrated Unit providing specialist care for patients requiring acute stroke management and ongoing rehabilitation, within a busy and rewarding clinical environment.

We are looking to recruit motivated, compassionate and adaptable Senior Healthcare Support Workers (Band 3) to join our dedicated team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker seeking career progression, or an existing Band 3 looking to further develop their clinical skills and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care. Applicants should have recent and relevant experience of working in a hospital ward caring for patients with complex physical dependency needs and supporting individuals with communication or cognitive difficulties.

As a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting registered nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will provide person-centred care, assist with delegated clinical duties, support rehabilitation goals and help ensure a safe, efficient and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

The successful candidate will be supported to develop additional competencies and contribute to the ongoing delivery of high-quality stroke care and rehabilitation.

The successful candidate must be flexible and able to work a variety of 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends, as this is a 24-hour service.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 3 September.
