Saturday Cook -Ecclefechan
Reporting to: Site ManagerDivision: RetailHours: Saturdays 8 hours
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Saturday Cook to prepare and serve fresh, high-quality food while delivering excellent customer service. You will help ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in preparing great food.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and hot food items to company standards
- Ensure food is presented to a high standard and served promptly
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen at all times
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the Site Manager
- Minimise food waste through effective stock rotation and portion control
- Deliver friendly and professional customer service
- Support the smooth operation of the site during busy trading periods
- Serving customers, plating an serving food.
- Opening and closing duties.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Cook, Chef, or in a commercial kitchen/ cafe
- Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene is desirable)
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Positive, reliable, and hardworking with a flexible attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Passion for preparing quality food and delivering excellent customer service
