Job Summary
ABP Burradon is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in managing the financial transactions of the company, specifically related to sales ledger activities and payroll processing. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial processes, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Sales Ledger Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales transactions. Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner. Reconcile sales ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies. Follow up on outstanding payments and work with the Sales team to ensure prompt payment.
Payroll Processing
Process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments. Verify and maintain employee records related to payroll, including tax information, benefits, and deductions. Stay up to date with relevant tax and labor laws to ensure compliance. Prepare and submit payroll reports to management.
Financial Reporting
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements. Collaborate with the finance team to provide data for analysis and forecasting. Compile and organise financial data for auditing purposes.
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain and update all relevant documentation related to the finance department. Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. Assist in internal and external audits as needed.
Communication and Teamwork
Collaborate with colleagues in the finance department and cross-functional teams. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees regarding sales and payroll matters.
Qualifications, Experience And Personal Qualities
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in sales ledger management and payroll processing. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Proficiency in using accounting software and payroll systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other relevant software. Familiarity with relevant tax laws and regulations is a plus.
