Key Responsibilities
As a Trainee Accountant, your duties will include:
- Maintaining bookkeeping records, payroll, and VAT returns.
- Preparing statutory financial statements from source data and trial balances.
- Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.
- Preparing tax calculations and tax returns.
- Managing electronic financial records and documentation.
- Responding to financial queries from clients and internal teams.
- Supporting senior accountants and managers with client assignments.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal procedures.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective time management and organisational abilities.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence when communicating with clients and colleagues.

Desirable Skills
The following experience would be beneficial but is not essential:
