About the Role

Apple Pharmacy – Craigend is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join its friendly and professional team.

In this role, you will support the pharmacy in delivering safe, accurate, and high-quality pharmaceutical services to the local community. Working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will assist with dispensing prescriptions, maintaining stock, supporting patients, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will:

  • Assist in preparing, labelling, and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Monitor stock levels, receive deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Provide friendly customer service and answer routine patient enquiries.
  • Refer complex medication queries to the pharmacist.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative tasks, including data entry and telephone enquiries.
  • Follow pharmacy regulations, confidentiality requirements, and health and safety procedures.
  • Keep dispensing areas clean, organised, and compliant with professional standards.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience (required).
  • A dispensing qualification is desirable, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Basic IT skills and experience using pharmacy or office software (knowledge of Analyst PMR is an advantage).
  • An understanding of pharmacy legislation and professional standards in Scotland.
