n A highly regarded, specialist claimant law firm with a strong national reputation is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join its expanding Clinical Negligence team. The firm is known for its client-centric approach and expertise in complex, high-value medical negligence claims, offering a collaborative and progressive working environment.

Your new role

n You will take a senior position within a well-established clinical negligence team, managing a caseload of complex, high-value claimant matters while supporting the wider growth of the department.Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
• Managing a caseload of multi-track clinical negligence claims from inception through to settlement or trial

n

• Handling complex matters including birth injury, brain injury, surgical error and delayed diagnosis claims

n

• Drafting detailed pleadings, witness statements and schedules of loss

n

• Instructing and liaising with medical experts and counsel

n

• Conducting liability and quantum investigations

n

• Negotiating settlements in high-value cases

n

• Supporting and mentoring junior fee earners

n

• Contributing to business development activity and maintaining strong client relationships

n

What you'll need to succeedn  

n

n
• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (typically 6+ PQE, although applications from experienced candidates outside this range are welcomed)

n

• Proven experience in claimant clinical negligence work

n

• Strong technical ability across complex, high-value claims

n

• Experience managing files independently and supervising junior staff

n

• Excellent communication and client care skills

n

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities

n

• A proactive and commercially aware approach

n
