JOB DETAILS
We are looking for a hands‑on EUC Provisioning and Hardware Technician to support the build, configuration, imaging, repair, and deployment of end‑user devices within a dedicated repair and provisioning centre in Guernsey.
This is a technical, detail‑focused role where you will be working across PC build and imaging processes, hardware diagnostics, and on‑site deployments across States of Guernsey locations.
You will be part engineer, part problem‑solver, and part quality guardian – making sure every device that leaves your hands is secure, consistent, and ready for use.
What You Will Be Doing
- Deploying standardised Windows images across multiple device types using tools such as Intune and SCCM
- Configuring operating systems and applications to meet internal and customer standards
- Diagnosing and resolving imaging and deployment issues
- Carrying out hardware repairs including fault finding, part replacement, and system restoration
- Visiting customer sites across Guernsey to support timely device delivery within SLAs
- Maintaining accurate documentation across builds, repairs, and configuration changes
- Performing quality assurance checks on all devices before deployment
- Working with third‑party IT teams to ensure smooth integration and service delivery
- Managing inventory of devices, tools, and imaging assets
- Supporting secure disposal of IT assets in line with environmental and compliance standards
- Keeping the repair and imaging facility clean, organised, and audit ready
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday – hours to be agreed locally.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience in PC imaging, deployment, troubleshooting, and repair
- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Hands‑on experience with tools such as SCCM, Intune, or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
- Confidence in diagnosing hardware and software faults
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well in a team environment while managing your own workload
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for island travel
