Production Operative

Job title: Production Operative Job type: Temporary to Permanent Location: Stevenage Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am-5pm & Friday, 7am-2pm Hourly rate: £13.00 per hour   Our rapidly growing client based in Stevenage are currently seeking a new member of staff to join their Production facility. This is a very hands-on role, so the successful candidate must come from a Production / Manufacturing and have previous experience with operation of tools and machinery.   Main duties as a Production Operative: - Preparation of materials to be used in the production of the heating elements - Screening and quality checking of the components - Resistive wire coiling & spot welding - General production of heating elements using a various number of machines such as filling machine, rolling machine, skinning machine, press, CNC bending machines, powder digging and chamfering machines - Maintain tooling and machines to keep in good working condition and report any potential issues with tooling to the Supervisor - Adhere to all safety guidelines dictating the production and handling of materials in the factory and report safety concerns to the Supervisor   What’s needed as a Production Operative: – Previous Production / Manufacturing experience – Previous experience operating tools & machinery – Keen eye for detail and ability to spot imperfections & quality issues – Physically fit and able to work on your feet for prolonged periods of time – Good ability to adapt to new surroundings, tools, and machinery – String team player and ability to build new working relationships   Perks of working on a Temporary to Permanent basis:– 24/7 support (during temping period) – Weekly pay (during temping period) – Tax relief on travel (during temping period) – Rewards & discounts – Opportunity to join a rapidly growing business    Please apply within…
