KENSINGTON W8 + travel: Live-in Nanny (B2 years) August/September start
This lovely family is looking for a mature, caring, flexible and experienced nanny to help care for their son who was born in August 2024. The successful candidate should be active, hardworking and a self-starter. The family would also love for the nanny to be a French speaker as this is a bilingual French/Australian home, however this is absolutely not essential.
The little boy is happy and in a very good routine. He will be starting nursery in September for 3 hour mornings Monday-Friday. He also enjoys going to classes, groups, playdates and activities. This is a shared care role — both parents are home with the mother being very present and involved, and the father working from a home office. The current nanny is leaving because of a change to her personal circumstances; ideally there will be a handover period of a couple of weeks to transition care to the new nanny.
Responsibilities / Role Details
- Working days are Monday to Friday, 12 hours per day on a flexible schedule (for example starting later sometimes to accommodate a dinner or starting earlier to allow the parents to get to a morning commitment).
- The nanny would also monitor overnight, although it is very rare for the little boy to wake.
- Provide excellent care to the child and support to the parents, maintaining a relaxed yet professional approach.
- Assist with nursery duties including preparing fresh nutritious meals and handling the child’s laundry as needed (the family employs a housekeeper for laundry five days a week).
- Where applicable, participate in light activities related to the child’s development (nursery, classes, groups, playdates, activities).
Details about the Role
- The family has a beautiful home in Kensington, a 5-minute walk to Kensington High Street. The nanny would have their own private bedroom and ensuite bathroom (Monday to Friday).
- There is minimal travel in the role, but if the family do travel the nanny may accompany them depending on the situation.
- A driver is not needed.
- The family has a 4-year-old Golden Retriever who has a dog walker; the dog is trained and very friendly.
Location, Hours & Benefits
Location: Kensington W8 with some travel; Live-in arrangement with private accommodation provided. The role includes overnight monitoring as needed.
