Year 5 Teacher – Full-Time | Altrincham
Location: Altrincham, Start Date: September, Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a friendly and progressive primary school in Altrincham that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team from September.

The Role
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that support pupils’ academic achievement while promoting their confidence, independence, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Differentiate learning effectively to meet the needs of all pupils
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to school improvement
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider school community
- Participate in school initiatives, events, and ongoing professional development opportunities
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching within Year 5 or Key Stage 2
- Be passionate about delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Have a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements
- Be confident using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Be committed to supporting every child to achieve their full potential
ECTs with relevant Key Stage 2 placement experience are encouraged to apply.
