Chef de Partie with Pastry Experience – Mon to Fri

Full‑time, temporary. Salary £35,000 – £37,000 per annum. 12‑month maternity cover contract starting in mid‑September.

Responsibilities

  • Food preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head/sous chef; maintain food safety standards.
  • Station management – oversee production of all dishes assigned to your station; maintain supplies and cleanliness.
  • Quality control – ensure high quality, presentation, and taste of all dishes.
  • Team collaboration – communicate effectively with other team members and support colleagues as needed.
  • Menu development – collaborate with the head chef to develop and taste new recipes, offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Cleaning and maintenance – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
