We’re working with a respected Legal 500 law firm that is looking to recruit a Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with around 1-5 years’ PQE to join its successful Dispute Resolution team in Bury St Edmunds.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who enjoys a varied caseload and wants to work alongside experienced litigators on high-quality commercial and civil disputes, while developing their own client relationships and technical expertise.

The Role

You’ll be involved in a wide variety of contentious matters, including:

  • Commercial contract disputes
  • Property litigation and landlord & tenant disputes
  • Construction disputes
  • General civil litigation
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements
  • Preparing court documentation and trial bundles
  • Attending hearings, mediations and settlement meetings
  • Advising clients throughout the litigation process
  • Working alongside colleagues across the firm on multi-disciplinary matters
  • Supporting networking and business development initiatives

As your experience grows, you’ll take increasing responsibility for managing your own caseload while continuing to work on more complex matters with senior members of the team.

About You

We’re keen to hear from Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives who have:

  • Around 1-5 years’ PQE in litigation
  • Experience in commercial litigation, property litigation or general civil disputes
  • A good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Strong drafting, communication and analytical skills
  • A practical, commercially focused approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities A
  • collaborative attitude and genuine enthusiasm for building a career in dispute resolution

Experience of attending court hearings or mediations would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
