Your new role As Communications Officer, you’ll plan and deliver strategic communications, marketing and media activity that promotes services and protects reputation. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll lead targeted campaigns across digital and traditional channels, create clear content that lands with different audiences, and help ensure brand consistency across the organisation. This is a hands-on role with real variety, from campaign delivery and social media management through to media relations support and publications.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience working in a communications, marketing or public relations role (minimum 2 years’ relevant experience, or 4 years if you don’t hold a degree)
- Proven experience of developing and delivering targeted campaigns, including evaluation against clear objectives
- Strong stakeholder management experience across internal and external audiences
- Confident, accurate writing skills across multiple formats and channels
- Experience using social media and online media management to deliver measurable outcomes
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or access to transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the role
What you’ll get in return This is a 12-month contract opportunity (37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with occasional out-of-hours as required) offering a competitive public sector pay rate (PO2 – £41,771 / £21.65 per hour) and hybrid working.
