Key Responsibilities

• Complete eye examinations, contact lens fitting, and extended service examinations.
• Support the Dispensing Optician Manager with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards.
• Deliver a wide range of NHS care for the monitoring and treatment of eye conditions.
• Assist in developing and shaping new patient services and departmental culture.
• Supervise students (optional for GOC registered professionals).

Qualifications & Requirements

• Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported).
• On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD.
• Right To Work in the UK.
• Evidence of NHS performer list membership and two clinical references (WECS accreditation required for Wales).
• Passion for delivering memorable customer experiences and developing new patient services.
