About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in unitised faade systems, cladding, curtain walling, glazed faades, and windows and doors. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of major faade projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The role requires a commercially aware project professional who can effectively manage both the operational and commercial aspects of project delivery, with some responsibilities overlapping with Contracts Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage faade projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from handover to final completion.Â
- Oversee the installation of unitised faades, curtain walling, glazed faades, cladding, and window and door systems.Â
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.Â
- Monitor programme performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.Â
- Manage project budgets, variations, valuations, and cost control.Â
- Ensure contractual obligations are met and identify commercial risks and opportunities.Â
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients, consultants, and principal contractors.Â
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and health & safety compliance.Â
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports.Â
- Resolve technical and operational challenges efficiently.Â
- Ensure projects are completed to the highest quality standards while maintaining profitability.Â
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within the faade industry.Â
- Strong background delivering projects involving:Â
- Unitised faade systemsÂ
- Curtain wallingÂ
- Glazed faadesÂ
- CladdingÂ
- Windows and doorsÂ
- Strong commercial understanding, including cost management, variations, and contractual administration.Â
- Experience managing large commercial construction projects.Â
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.Â
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.Â
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations within the construction industry.Â
- Full UK driving licence.Â
Desirable
- Experience working on large-scale commercial faade projects.Â
- Previous exposure to responsibilities typically associated with Contracts Management.Â
- Relevant construction or project management qualifications.Â
- SMSTS, CSCS, or equivalent site management certification.Â
