An exciting opportunity has arisen to join award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service. Are you passionate about food and enjoy working as part of a team? We are currently recruiting for a Relief Catering Assistant to work as a valued member of our dedicated kitchen team. You will be supporting the kitchen supervisor in all areas of the service at schools within the Derby, Ashbourne, Belper, Heanor and Langley Mill area. This may involve working at a production unit or at a servery unit.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation
• Cooking
• Portion control
• Allergen compliance
• Preparing the dining room for service
• Serving meals to customers while ensuring food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed

Key Requirements

Because this role covers numerous units within the area, a driver’s licence and the ability to travel are essential. Successful completion of the NVQ food hygiene certificate will be required upon appointment.
