Job Description
What the successful Procurement Consultant can expect to do:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their suitability.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreements and standards.
- Provide expert advice on procurement best practices and compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement goals with business objectives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Procurement Consultant should have:
- A strong background in procurement and supply chain management.
- An understanding of both PA23 and PCR2015
- 3 years of Public Sector exposure and comfortable working for a consultancy
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent analytical and market research skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant procurement tools and software.
