Housing Solicitor

BD Reside works closely with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham to deliver high-quality, affordable housing and support the borough’s wider regeneration ambitions.

Reside manages a diverse portfolio of affordable, intermediate and market-rent homes and is entering a significant period of expansion and transformation. For a housing solicitor who enjoys varied work, autonomy and regular advocacy, this offers the chance to have a visible impact within a collaborative and well-connected organisation.

The role

  • Manage a broad caseload of housing litigation and advisory matters
  • Represent the organisation in court hearings
  • Advise stakeholders on housing management issues
  • Draft and review tenancy agreements
  • Support a paralegal and contribute to the wider legal function

About you

  • 2+ years’ PQE in housing law
  • Confidence managing your own caseload independently
  • Advocacy experience, or an interest in developing this further
  • A pragmatic and commercially aware approach
  • Experience handling landlord and tenant matters including arrears, ASB and disrepair
