Overview
We are looking to appoint a professional, approachable and welcoming Administrative Assistant who will also be required to administer first aid (full training will be given). Applications will be considered on a full or part-time basis. The ideal full-time hours would be Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day).
The successful candidate will provide effective administration and clerical support within the school. As part of a small team of reception/administrative staff, you will work in a dynamic environment providing excellent customer service for staff, pupils, parents and visitors. The school reception office is our communications hub and the key point of contact for callers and visitors, presenting a friendly, professional, effective and efficient image at all times and handling situations with calm, skill and assertiveness.
Responsibilities
- Provide administration and clerical support to the school.
- Act as first point of contact for staff, pupils, parents and visitors; deliver professional customer service.
- Assist with reception duties and maintain a welcoming office environment.
- Administer first aid as required (full training will be provided).
- Utilise IT systems used by the school; training will be provided where needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills; able to stay calm under pressure.
- Competent in using IT and office software; willingness to learn school systems.
- Ability to work well within a small team and provide high-quality service to staff, pupils, parents and visitors.
- Two satisfactory references and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
