Associate Director, Clinical Operations Lead (FSP)

Advanced Clinical is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Clinical Operations Lead to join our growing Functional Service Provider (FSP) team, supporting a global biopharmaceutical partner.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinical operations professional to lead the operational strategy and end-to-end delivery of global clinical studies within a collaborative, matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational strategy and execution of global clinical studies from protocol development through study close-out.
• Provide leadership to cross-functional study teams, ensuring studies are delivered to quality, budget and timeline expectations.
• Manage CROs and external vendors, driving strong oversight and performance.
• Develop study timelines, budgets, forecasts and resource plans.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Act as a key operational partner to internal stakeholders throughout the study lifecycle.
• Support inspection readiness, audits and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years’ clinical operations experience within a pharmaceutical company, biotechnology company or CRO.
• Proven experience independently leading global clinical trials from start-up through close-out.
• Experience managing multiple vendors and CROs across international studies.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes.
• Thorough understanding of ICH-GCP and global clinical trial regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Phase IV, late-phase and/or observational studies.
• Experience working closely with Medical Affairs.
• Experience delivering complex, multi-country clinical studies.
• Gene therapy experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
