Artemis Executive Search has been successfully retained by a high-growth, highly regulated business to appoint aChief Financial Officer to join its senior leadership team at a pivotal stage of expansion.

This is a rare opportunity to join a business that hastripled in size over the past three years, now generating in excess of £50m turnover and entering its next phase of strategic growth acrossIreland, with imminent expansion into the UK market.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the overall financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the Groups growth ambitions across Ireland and future UK expansion
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and wider executive team, providing insight-driven decision support
  • Drive robust financial planning, forecasting, and performance management to support sustained high growth
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, statutory, and governance requirements across all operating jurisdictions
  • Strengthen and evolve financial controls, risk management frameworks, and reporting standards appropriate to a scaling organisation
  • Lead capital allocation decisions, investment appraisals, and support potential M&A and strategic growth opportunities
  • Oversee cash flow, funding strategy, and banking relationships to support ongoing expansion
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance function capable of scaling with the business
  • Champion operational excellence, financial discipline, and commercial performance across the organisation
  • Support the development and execution of long-term strategic planning and value creation initiatives

Candidate Criteria

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical grounding and commercial application
  • Minimum4+ years operating at CFO or Finance Director level, ideally within a high-growth environment
  • Proven experiencereporting directly to a Board and operating as a key member of the executive leadership team
  • Demonstrable track record ofsupporting or leading business expansion into new geographies/jurisdictions, ideally across Ireland, the UK, or wider international markets
  • Significant experience operating within ahighly regulated environment, with a strong understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategy and drive value creation
  • Proven leadership capability, including building, scaling, and developing high-performing finance teams
  • Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented organisations where agility and hands-on leadership are essential
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage credibly at Board and investor level
