We are working with a reputable law firm based in Belfast for an Associate to join their Litigation team.
The Role:
The successful candidate will join a specialist Personal Injury team advising individuals on a broad range of claimant personal injury matters. The team represents clients in claims arising from road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, occupiers’ liability and public liability incidents.
The role involves managing a varied caseload of claimant personal injury matters from initial instruction through to settlement or litigation, advising clients on liability and quantum, gathering evidence, negotiating with insurers, and pursuing claims for general and special damages. The successful candidate will handle road traffic accident claims, employers’ liability, public liability, slip, trip and fall claims, and liaise with medical experts and other stakeholders.
Essential Criteria:
- 1-5 years’ PQE;
- Plaintiff or defence litigation background;
- Technically excellent;
- Ability to work in a busy environment;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team;
- Proactive attitude.
