We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Early Years Practitioner (Pre-School) to join a well-established family-owned nursery in Wandsworth (SW17).
This is a full-time, all-year-round position within a high-quality Early Years setting and is ideal for an experienced Level 3 practitioner who is ready to take the next step into a senior role. The nursery provides a nurturing, child-centred environment with a strong focus on children’s wellbeing, independence, and high-quality early years education.
You will be:
Supporting the day-to-day running of the pre-school room and delivering high-quality teaching and learning
Leading by example and mentoring practitioners to maintain outstanding standards of care and education
Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
Acting as a key person and building strong relationships with children and their families
Monitoring children’s progress through observations, assessments, and next-step planning
Promoting safeguarding, health and safety, and ensuring full compliance with EYFS requirements
Working closely with the Room Leader and management team to support the smooth running of the nursery
Contributing to continuous improvement and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification and have previous experience within a pre-school or Early Years setting, ideally in a senior practitioner role. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, child development, and supporting colleagues is essential. Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills are required.
