The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical professional who enjoys both the technical and operational aspects of the industry.
The role combines office-based planning and management with regular site visits across our portfolio of projects. Working closely with the Directors, you’ll help oversee the day-to-day operation of the business, support our engineering teams and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of commercial mechanical projects and maintenance contracts.
- Plan labour, resources and project programmes.
- Provide technical support to engineers and apprentices.
- Carry out site surveys and attend client meetings.
- Manage installation, servicing, maintenance and reactive works.
- Monitor project progress, quality and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
- Support quotation reviews, procurement and project planning.
- Assist with continuous improvement of operational systems and processes.
- Participate in emergency response and out-of-hours support where required.
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- Extensive experience within commercial plumbing, heating and mechanical services.
- Strong knowledge of commercial heating, HVAC, plumbing and gas systems.
- Previous experience managing engineers, projects or operational teams.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work independently while leading and motivating others.
- Good IT skills and experience using digital job management systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- Commercial Gas ACS qualifications.
- OFTEC qualifications.
- Unvented Hot Water certification.
- F-Gas qualification.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Experience with renewable technologies, including air source heat pumps.
- Experience working within healthcare, education or facilities management environments.
