Material ControllerPermanentStone, Staffordshire | Site-based

What will you be doing?Managing materials and stock held within a busy engineering stores environmentReceiving deliveries and processing goods through the ERP systemMaintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring documentation is completed correctlyStoring materials correctly to ensure traceability and prevent damageWorking closely with production teams and engineers to ensure components are available when requiredControlling the issue of materials, consumables and PPEMaintaining records for tools, equipment and calibration schedulesSupporting continuous improvement across stores and materials processesEnsuring materials are controlled effectively to support production deadlines

Where will you be doing it?You will be joining a well-established engineering business that designs and manufactures specialist equipment for highly regulated industrial sectors, including energy, manufacturing and infrastructure. Based in Stone, Staffordshire, the business works on complex projects where quality, traceability and accuracy are essential. You will play a key role within the stores function, ensuring production teams have the right materials available at the right time.

What will you need?Previous experience within materials control, stores, stock control or inventory managementExperience working within a manufacturing or engineering environmentGood IT skills and confidence using ERP or inventory management systemsStrong organisation skills with a methodical approach to managing stockGood attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate recordsAbility to communicate effectively with production teams, engineers and suppliersA proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks

Desirable:Electrical component knowledge or experience within electrical manufacturingPrevious experience using Microsoft Navision / Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems
