Workshop Resource & Operations Manager | Immersive Live Theatre | Marden, Kent | Permanent

Our partner: Our partner is an established creative design and fabrication business specialising in immersive environments, scenic construction, and experiential projects. Working across the full journey from concept through to installation, they combine traditional craftsmanship with modern production techniques and continue to invest in innovative ways of delivering high-quality experiences across the entertainment and visitor attraction sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate workshop resources, schedules, and workflows to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time.
  • Monitor resource allocation across people, equipment, materials, and workspace while identifying opportunities to improve utilisation.
  • Act as the central point of communication between workshop teams, project managers, and finance to ensure accurate operational information is shared.
  • Support commercial performance by improving cost visibility, highlighting risks early, and helping develop effective reporting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing systems, identifying operational inefficiencies, and implementing practical solutions that support long-term growth.

Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role:

You’ll be an organised and commercially aware operations professional who enjoys bringing clarity to busy environments. Comfortable managing multiple priorities, you’ll combine strong planning skills with the confidence to work across departments, challenge existing processes constructively, and introduce practical improvements that make a measurable difference.

Essential:

  • Experience in project coordination, operations, production management, or another fast-paced operational environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Strong numerical confidence with the ability to interpret operational and cost information.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to identifying problems and implementing practical improvements.

Desirable:

  • Experience within scenic construction, fabrication, manufacturing, or workshop environments.
  • Knowledge of project costing, production scheduling, or resource planning.
  • Exposure to finance or commercial reporting processes.
  • Experience working alongside finance or commercial teams.
  • An interest in operational improvement and developing scalable business processes.

What’s on offer:

  • Salary: Up to £55k, depending on experience
  • Working pattern: Fully on site – Marden, Kent UK
  • Reports to: Group Finance Director
